My thoughts on life, ministry, and other things that are not so serious.

04-7-06

Plans…

We spent the better part of this morning taking care of the final arrangments for grandpa.

Here are the details:

The visitation will be on Saturday, April 8th from 10:30-1:00.

The funeral will immediately follow the visitation. Both events will be held at . Breitenbach McCoy & Leffler Funeral Home

My brother and I will be officiating the services. Please pray for us that we will be able to deliver the message that both grandpa would have for us, and that God has set in our hearts. A lot of people have asked why we are doing it, and if we can handle it. I am confident that we can… God will give us strength and courage! As to why: Grandpa wouldn’t have it any other way…. he constantly told us how proud he was, and how he never could have imagined having “two grandsons that grew up to be ministers”…. I hope that we continue to make him proud!

  1. Tricia Said,

    Luke and Jenessa,

I understand your loss. It has been over 2 years since my patriarch, beloved, gentle grandpa died…very unexpectedly. No words healed my pain, no comforting hugs makes the loss any less, but you do have the assurance of his presence with the Lord and the future joy of knowing you will spent eternity with him. This I do not understand, friend, so praise the Lord you really, really haven’t completely lost him. And, if it helps, I will pray for your grandma, although, as I have seen with my grandma…we will never, ever know or understand her loss until we are perhaps 80 or so. Just call her a lot, and share your world with her because she will be very lonely even when she is with everyone. This, and praying for and with her is really all we can do.

    Your sister,

    Tricia Pyles
